I use it for my wireless mac keyboard and mouse, and it's worked perfectly fine for 3 weeks. No complaints!

WORKS PERFECTLY, July 13, 2007

Plugged this baby into my mac and it was immediatley recognized. In less than 5 minutes my phone was connected and sharing files.

Exactly as expected, July 5, 2007
By user (AL, USA)
Overall I'm fairly satisfied with this device. The main reason I purchased this particular model is so that I could fit it nicely inside my Mac on the internal USB slot that my PCI USB card has. It fits perfectly, actually. It's even smaller than my previous adapter.
I actually cannot get the device to work on the 2.0 EDR speeds on my Mac. It probably works fine on a PC. Since this is not that big of a deal.. it only takes off one star rating for me. If I want to transfer large files I just use the USB cable for my bluetooth device (Motorola Razr V3xx).

It's magic!, July 1, 2007

This doodad takes virtually no space, works like a charm, and does exactly what it's supposed to with no user input required. This is technology to love.

Not Compatible With Motorolla Headset H300, June 19, 2007
By user (Charlotte, NC)
I bought this adapter to connect a Motorolla headset to my computer. Be aware that if it did not work for the H300 bluetooth headset it may not work with other Motorolla headsets.

Support is awful, June 9, 2007
By user (Portalnd OR)
This item will not work with vista the support they offer has no idea of what you are talking about don't seem to know the product or care and frankly are rather rude. I feel item should not be sold with the new portable printer as not compatible.

A very poor effort by D-Link, June 7, 2007
By user (Kansas City)
After about 1 hour with technical support (which was responsive but unable to solve the problem), I was able to connect one time. I could never connect after that. So, I gave up. I have $5 bluetooth USB connectors that connect effortlessly.

Mac + D-Link DBT120 = Plug and Play, May 31, 2007
By user (PR USA)
Works great with the iMac. I just plug it into any open USB port and sync my cell phone contacts to my address book. This works great with the 2.0 ports or even the 1.1 USB on the keyboard, you don't need 2.0 speed to use this it's plenty fast on 1.1.
Recommended for syncing contacts, etc... I haven't tried it with anything else yet.

Link in your pocket, May 26, 2007
By user
The main reason I purchased this handy USB adapter was to access my Motorola L6 (cell phone) from a computer and the DBT-120 just plain works the way these things should. Bluetooth is by far the easiest way to move pics and mp3s in and out of a capable phone, not to mention contacts syncronization, and in a pinch even get you online. Setup was about as simple as it gets ... and it fits in that tiny pocket you forget about. In fact, I left one in my jeans, it went through the wash, and after drying out, it still worked! Great widget!

Works great, May 23, 2007

The adapter works great. It didn't require me to install any new software on my Mac. I just plug it in and have no problem using my wireless mouse. My roommate borrowed it for his Windows computer to upload pictures from his cell phone. He had no problems either. And as long as you treat it carefully, it won't break.

D-Link DBT-120 Bluetooth USB Adapter, PC/Mac, May 21, 2007
By user (My backyard)
I bought this to download stuff to my cell phone. Depending upon what you wish to send it might be a little slow, but that's expected with my particular set-up. Arrived fast and worked out of the box with no additional drivers needed other than those supplied by MS.

Returned due to error-prone software, May 20, 2007
By user (Columbia, SC USA)
The D-Link bluetooth adapter worked in theory, but its software produced so many annoying scripting errors (IE based) that I had to return it. I bought an IOGear adapter from Best Buy and have had no problems.

Junk, May 16, 2007
By user (Connecticut USA)
Device driver would not install. Simply hangs. Second, this is an OEM of a Toshiba bluetooth adapter. I cannot stand OEM'd products such as this because the support is terrible. Returning the product.
Also bought a d-link usb 2.0 hub that locked the computer every time I plugged it in to a known good port, using a known good cable.
Probably won't ever buy d-link again.

No A2DP., May 13, 2007
By user
This maybe a good BlueTooth (BT) dongle, but possibly does not allow the new BT A2DP profile for stereo audio. I realized this only after ordering it, and had to return.

Works under Linux and Mac OS X, May 7, 2007
By user
I have two of these, both are ver. B4. One I use on my Mac OS X machine, which runs 10.4. I applied the applicable firmware update (see Apple KB No. 120276) so that I could use my bluetooth headset with it on my macintosh. Both of my bluetooth headsets work well on the mac with this adapter.
The other one I got for my laptop, which runs gentoo linux and windows. The Dlink works flawlessly on the 2.6.19 kernel (works under 2.6.20 as well) with the standard btsco/btsco-kernel setup.
Oddly enough, the most trouble I had with this device was under windows xp. I tried using the drivers that came on the install CD, but for some reason, I could not get sound/audio to work when using Skype. I tried with two different headsets, so I know it's not a headset issue (plus both headsets worked fine with Skype on the mac and linux). Not sure what's going on here, but it looks like the drivers that come with the dongle aren't very good.
